We'd like to request WebP image support for our website. This modern format offers better compression while maintaining quality comparable to JPEGs and PNGs, which would bring several benefits:

Improved page load times resulting in a better user experience

Reduced bandwidth usage

WebP also supports animation, which would be beneficial. Currently, we can't use animated GIFs due to their limited color palette, but animated WebPs would provide a solution if we need to incorporate animations in the future.

This feature would enable us to maintain high-quality visuals on our site without compromising load times.
