When accepting an artist consignment it's extremely frustrating that the location is automatically transferred to "at the gallery" when it could be "at the studio" or "on loan to so and so museum". Especially when you have an artist sending mass inventory- it's a lot of work to go back in and find the corresponding inventory and revert it as what it was originally entered as- you also have to ask the artist to send this info as a spreadsheet to triple confirm- most artists can't use a computer effectively so this is madness. Please don't wipe the location data as it was entered- if there was a toggle at time of import to choose locations that would be ideal!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! This will prevent mistakes!!
