Option to reimburse expenses after the split, so the artist gets 50% plus added expenses like frames

We often have artists who request that any framing costs be reimbursed to them in full, on top of their normal consignment share. Unfortunately, ArtCloud automatically subtracts that cost off the top before the consignment split (even when marked as 100% reimbursed), making it impossible to give the artist their 50% plus the full framing fee—unless we inflate the sale price or double the expense.
Request: Add a simple way to treat an expense as an “add‐on” to the consignor’s final payout after the standard commission split. Essentially, let us say, “Give the artist 50% of the sale price plus a $300 reimbursement,” instead of deducting $300 before the split. This would better match real‐world scenarios where artists expect their normal percentage plus reimbursement.

Yes! What Julie is saying is correct. Expenses modeled as '50/50 Gallery / Consigner' will be deducted from a line item's _discounted_ price before calculating consignment split.
What is NOT possible today is factoring in an expense off the top before discounts are applied. A request for this is logged here: https://artcloud.canny.io/admin/feedback/asdfasdfasdfasdf/p/ability-to-have-discounts-not-affect-artist-payout?boards=asdfasdfasdfasdf&search=discount

I’m following up on David's request with an additional update. It is possible to include the discount applied to the artwork in the 50% commission split. I have specific contracts where, if I apply a discount, both the artist and I share this commercial gesture. So, the baseline for the 50/50 split is no longer the original consignment price, but the final price after the discount (and taxes).
