MASTER CATALOG ITEMS

We utilize the title catalog feature to add items to the invoice that need to be ordered. The problem is that the next sale is based of the details of the previous sale. So if the catalog item was sold at a discount or unframed or any other change this is reflected on the next sale. this does not work. SOLD ON INVOICE ART SHOULD NOT BE A REFRENCE FOR THE NEXT SALE.

We've introduced configuration for 'Master Edition' on limited and unlimited edition sets. Once designated, works that are added to an invoice as part of a title catalog will draw their price from the configured master edition.

Andrew Smith thanks, this is great. If you can make this as a functional column for importing titles it will make managing much smoother. I have to manually select each master currently.

I have run into the issue when we are selling art via title catalog. We create an initial item with costs, pricing and frame specs attached. We then add that to an invoice and the system generates an new inventory item. This item may sell with different pricing or framing specs than the original entry. We then sell an addition edition from the same title catalog entry. It then generates the new inventory item based on the most recent item. If a discount or change was made on the last sale the pricing and cost of that sale populates the next invoiced sale and not the original cost/price of the catalog entry. Literally, the point of the title catalog is to have a "master" item. Sold art from invoices should not be the reference for cost/price.
