Consignment CSV Export (additional columns required)
complete

There's a need to export artist consignment report with some additional (optional) columns based around tax.
At present, if the consignment type is an amount the report includes tax. If it's a percentage, it excludes tax.
Let's have the option to export including and excluding tax for all calculations that require it. Possibly not a big deal for US based galleries but for anyone that charges GST or VAT it's difficult.
I have to export the sales, go into the financials for every artwork in manager, calculate the amount and then change the consignment type to the calculated amount - then export all sold works again, remove the ones that are already paid from the spreadsheet, and then start processing the payments and then of course, marking the works as paid. It's a much more complicated process than it needs to be.
This could be a system wide export option setting for those that need it.
This could be an option on artists settings as some are TAX registered and some are not.
Taking things a step further, how about an API connecting bank or stripe account with artists payment directly within artcloud that automatically log the payments against the work and the artist!

Peter Aitken Hey Peter! We've added some additional tax columns to both the in-platform table and CSV export of the consignment report. Will you let us know if these are directionally correct?
Our calculations to generate amounts owed to artists do not currently consider any tax information--do you get that for free when consignment type is set to amount? We are interested in these and other tax related improvements. When we're able to prioritize, can we ask you to help us understand what is necessary for the GST component?
We're also very interested in automating ACH payments to artists! We've got some functionality around 'buy now, pay later' and other payment types coming soon that brings us one step closer to this.

Yes, currently:
If consignment type is set to AMOUNT, the GST component is included. EG: Artwork is $1000. Artwork consignment is set to an amount. Amount is $500. The report outputs the GST included amount of $500.
If the consignment is set as PERCENTAGE and the percentage is 50% the amount the report outputs is $454.54 (excluding the tax amount).
Happy to talk through this anytime.

Peter Aitken: Hey Peter, we've added an 'Consignment Cost (GST Beta)' column to the consignment report. Calculations behind other data points have not been adjusted yet.
If this looks correct we can bring the same calculation behind relevant data points like 'Amount Owed' and others app-wide.

Peter Aitken: Peter, let me know if it looks like the new 'Consignment Cost (GST Beta)' column is calculating amount owed properly. If it's correct, we can fan the logic out to the rest of the app, which should save you an awful lot of time!

Andrew Smith Yes! Fantastic, thank you - the calculation is right. Cheers! Peter

Export consignment sales options with/without tax

Please add an option for consignment report export to have a column with tax and without tax. At present, if consignment is an amount, it includes tax - but if the consignment is a percentage, it excludes tax. Very confusing for those in markets with VAT / GST.
